Prairie City Elementary honored

Prairie City Elementary has been awarded the Honor Plus level of recognition for its outstanding PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports) implementation in the 2015-16 school year. PCE was awarded this honor for teaching and reinforcing the use of the Mustang Motto — Be Safe, Be Respectful and Be Responsible. The award was presented to PCE principal Stephanie Ver Helst by Ryan Wise, state director of education, May 9.
