“Living on the Farm,” Monroe Old Settlers community celebration begins Thursday with a pitch tournament at CJ’s Bar and Grill. Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m.
Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. Friday with pony rides, followed by the children’s parade at 6 p.m.
The Greased Pig Contest will be at Madsen Field with registration starting at 6 p.m. and the contest at 7 p.m. Doubles horseshoes, water fights and night volleyball are also scheduled.
At 9 p.m. the band Standing Hampton will perform music from the 70s, 80s and beyond.
Registration for the Monroe Annual Micro Marathon is at 7 a.m. Saturday with the race starting at 8 a.m.
Children’s activities start at 9 a.m. Other Saturday morning events are the horse show pitch tournament, car show, adults bags tournament and 3-on-3 basketball tournament.
Afternoon performances include Steppin Out Dance Studio, the flag ceremony, cribbage tournament and recognition prizes.
The evening parade begins at 7 p.m., followed by the presentation of the Kiwanians Award, parade awards and raffle winners. The Dueling Pianos of Andy Anderson and Mike Leeds will highlight the evening entertainment at approximately 8:30 p.m.
