To the administration, staff, teachers, music departments and all the young men and women of the PCM Middle School.
As adjutant, on behalf of the Prairie City American Legion, Booth DeVries, Post No. 275, we want to say thank you for the Veterans Day program you so graciously and patriotically presented to all in attendance.
The program was well planned, well prepared and well presented in a patriotic manner. I’m sure all the veterans in attendance, as well as the non-veteran general public all enjoyed the program.
It is occasions and days like this that help us to understand how fortunate we are to live in this country, with all the freedoms we have, and to realize that it is the veterans who have made these freedoms possible.
Freedom is not free.
We, as legion members and veterans, cannot individually thank you as a group or as individuals, so please accept this as our thank you for a “good job, well done.” Keep up the good work. See you next year.
Also, thank you to the Monroe American Legion, Mr. Buys and anyone else who had any part in the program, as well as all of the veterans and general public for taking time out of your schedule to support this Veterans Day program.
Patriotism is alive and well in our communities.
The American Legion
